Dorp Street is a national monument and has one of the longest rows of old buildings surviving in any major town in Southern Africa. It was once the wagon way to Cape Town and now the oldest residential street in South Africa. Explore Stellenbosch’s center on your own for about 30 minutes. Places of interests include a historical walk through old parts of Stellenbosch, famous Oom Samie se Winkel and Stellenbosch village Museum. Through his many travels around the globe Ernie has been exposed to and appreciated some of the world’s greatest wines and 1999 decided to pursue his developing passion for fine wine with the creation of ERNIE ELS Wines. Thereafter we will proceed to ALTO WINE ESTATE for our wine tasting with cheese platter.

The farm started in 1693, where it was part of farm named Groenrivier (means Green River). In 1919 owner, Hennie Malan, divided the land, and converted into a wine farm and name it ALTO (Testament to the Vineyard’s Altitude and Their Goals for It). Special on Red wines such as Rouge, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and port. Thereafter we will proceed to WATERFORD OR LANZERAC WINE ESTATE for our wine tasting with chocolates.

Waterford Estate may be fairly young, but it has many fascinating stories to tell while you are tasting your wine. One of these is how, serendipitously, a one of a king Antique Chenin Blanc came into being. Thereafter we will proceed to LANZERAC WINE ESTATE for wine tasting with special chocolates and Lunch. After Lunch we will proceed to DELAIRE GRAFF WINE ESTATE for our last wine tasting.

The Cheetah Outreach Centre, situated at Paardelvlei in Somerset West, is a fun and educational outing for children and adults alike. Visitors can enjoy a personal encounter with an adult cheetah or with a cheetah cub. The Cheetah Outreach project is a fantastic initiative which aims to raise awareness of the decline in cheetah numbers due to loss of habitat, predation, and poaching.
