Alternatively, on the adventure side, you can choose to go cage diving with great white sharks in nearby Gansbaai. Whilst enjoying a thrilling day out lunch can be arranged overlooking the beautiful bay or ocean either in Hermanus or Gansbaai, depending on the launching time of course. After the Boat explore the largest town along the Cape Whale Route boasting some very decent restaurants, some excellent accommodations, and some African Craft markets. Particularly Hermanus has become famous for its Whale-watching and its annual Whale Festival. Thereafter exploring Hermanus we will drive via R44 toward R320 stop at Creation vineyard for wine tasting with chocolate. From Wilderness to Model Wine Farm, in 2002 Jean-Claude (JC) and Carolyn Martin took up the challenge of establishing a winery in a remote corner of the Walker Bay Wine Region, they did so with the courage of their conviction. The 40 hectares of undulating land on the lofty Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge had never been planted to vines before, but recognizing the vast potential, they set out with tenacity and determination to transform it into a model wine farm. Thereafter we will experience the peaceful and scenic road trip straight to Betty’s Bay along the coast, with the Atlantic Ocean on the side and mountains, Fynbos terrain on the other side. We drive pass through several quaint villages in between the more established towns. We will explore the Betty’s Bay Penguins Colony. The Betty’s Bay Penguin colony, situated at Stony Point is one of the 2 mainland-based penguin colonies (historically) penguins only nested on the Islands, to keep away from predators, the other being Simon’s Town. Jackass penguins and Ostriches are the only flightless bird species found in Africa. Jackass Penguins are also like African Penguins. Thereafter we will proceed straight to Cheetah Outreach.

The Cheetah Outreach Centre, situated at Paardelvlei in Somerset West, is a fun and educational outing for children and adults alike. Visitors can enjoy a personal encounter with an adult cheetah or with a cheetah cub. The Cheetah Outreach project is a fantastic initiative which aims to raise awareness of the decline in cheetah numbers due to loss of habitat, predation, and poaching. Currently, there are about 20 cheetahs at the Centre. From here we travel back to Cape Town. DROP OFF AT YOUR HOTEL 18:00.
